I am particularly attracted to this property because it looks like a smaller version of the home in which I was born and where I lived until the age of 20, Swinsty Hall, in the Washburn Valley, in North Yorkshire, although, in fact it is about 100 years later in date, having been built during the first year of the Restoration.

Low Fold Hall is currently owned by someone with excellent taste in interior decoration, combined with a good knowledge of antique furnishings.  This makes it inspirational and a joy to ‘click through’ on Rightmove.  The gardens, about an acre,  are also beautifully maintained and look peaceful.  More acreage is available separately.

All the new owners need to do is move in and start their own collection of antiques.

Here’s a beautiful little thing.  Listed Grade ii* with seven bedrooms, for only £450k. The Old Rectory, Norton Sheffield, S.Yorks. £530k

This is a beautiful old property, built of stone, in 1710.  It seems to have later 18th and 19th century additions.  It has great dignity and seriousness and is divided in to parts.  You get the portion of house that lies behind front door and the windows above it and to the left of it. The property seems to be in a lovely setting adjacent to St James Church, and also a large, regency stately home, Norton Hall, now apartments, so that it is surrounded by greenery and trees.
